Use
In this Customizing activity, you determine whether the probationary period of workers should be extended with any specified absences. A probationary period for a worker may include different absences, for example, due to illness, work accident, or holidays.
These absences occur within the framework of Belgian absence processing, and depend on the absence subtype.
Requirements
Standard settings
The personal calendar for Belgium bases its processing on a modifier (Belgian absence modifier or BEMOD). This modifier is based on the contract type and whether the person is within her probationary period. The probationary period can be extended with the length of absences that occur during the probationary period.
When personal calendars are generated using the Personal Calendar Generation (RPTGENB0) report, the user can choose to extend probationary periods with absences.
Prolongation settings include the following:
You use the Default probationary period prolongation for personal calendar (PPPRO) constant to define the default value for the No prolongation probationary period checkbox in the report. The user can overwrite this value on the report selection screen
You use the Prolong probationary period by absences (Belgium) (BPPPR) feature to determine for which absence types (AWART or SUBTY from IT2001) probationary periods are extended. Note: The feature is only evaluated if the No prolongation probationary period checkbox on the selection screen of Personal Calendar Generation (RPTGENB0) report is not selected
