Use

In this Customizing activity, you define attributes for illnesses that are mapped to an SAP illness code.

Requirements

You have mapped at least one internal absence code (illness) to an absence category, using Customizing activity Map Internal Absence Codes to Absence Categories.

Standard settings

In this activity, you define values in the Illness Attributes (V_T5BP9) maintenance view.

Activities

You can choose which code to assign to carence day absences (normally the limit is 13 days).

You can also define other carence day processing parameters, as follows:

• You can choose to skip the first two carence days, or to consider a limited number per year
• You can choose to consider the seniority period when generating the code, and also consider the duration of the seniority period. To ignore the seniority period, choose 0 days

Example

Consider the illness attributes for an employee who is no longer on probation. The employee has data values as follows:

• The employee has employee category 1, special modifier 1, and absence category Z
• The carence day values follows:
• The carence day valuation code is 1, and the period limit is 13 days
• For this employee, carence days are not skipped, so the SKGEN is blank
• The maximum number of carence days is 99 (to retain them all for the whole year)
• For this employee, the seniority valuation code is 8 and the duration is 1 month
