In this step, you determine how wage types for quota compensation are formed.
The rules for determining wage types, which are to be checked, are determined by the employee subgroup grouping for time quota types, by personnel subarea groupings for time quota types, by absence quota types, and by absence quota compensation types.
The rules are checked in the order of the sequential numbers.
The rules check whether the year in which the quota's validity period begins is before, after or the same as the comparison year. The difference raises or reduces the comparison year by the value entered.
If the comparison year has not been filled, the year of the payroll period is used as a comparison during the payroll run.
If the condition is met, the specified wage type is stored with the number of hours or days that have been compensated by the quota.
If the Compare field is not filled, no check is carried out, and the entered wage type is stored with the number compensated by the quota.
Example
Standard annual leave, absence quota 11 is assigned using compensation type 1011. If the validity start date of the quota is in the payroll year, the wage type M165 should be generated; for the standard annual leave of the previous year, the wage type M166.
Requirements
You must have defined the Wage types that you want to assign.
Standard settings
The SAP standard system contains model entries.
Activities
- Consider for which employee subgroup grouping for time quota types, personnel subarea grouping for time quota types, absence quota compensation type and absence quotas a rule should apply. Make your entries. Enter a validity period for the rule.
- Assign the wage types to be created in the WT field.
- Decide whether the wage type is to be generated. If this is the case, leave the Comp. field blank.
- Decide whether the year in which the quota's validity period begins is to be before, after or the same as the comparison year, so that the wage type is created.
- Choose the comparison <,=,>.
- Enter the comparison year in the Year field. If the year of the payroll period is to be used as a comparison during the payroll run, leave the field blank.
- Enter the number of years that should be subtracted from or added to the comparison year in the Diff. field.
- Enter the percentage of the quota number in the % fact. field.
- The number multiplied by this percentage factor is stored in the wage type. If you want to create more wage types for this rule, copy the rule and assign a new sequential number.
Further notes
If compensation is entered with wage types in the Quota Compensation infotype, the rules are not run.
