Use

In this Customizing activity, you adjust the screen controls for the Indemnity Definition (3270) infotype.

Adjusting screen controls enables you to specify how fields are used, and data entry conditions for complementary indemnity master data.

You can hide or show fields, label fields as mandatory or optional, or not required for input. For the Indemnity Definition (3270) infotype, you can use feature P3270 to specify how these fields are to be used in specific cases, for example, based on the indemnity subtype.

Activities

  1. To make general adjustments to the screen control, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose the entry with the number of the screen containing the screen control you want to change.
    2. In the detail view, adjust the screen control according to your requirements and save your entries.
  2. To change the screen control so that it depends on certain conditions, such as the type of indemnity, proceed as follows:
    1. Copy the entry that you want to change.
    2. Adjust the screen control to meet your requirements.
    3. In the Variable key field, enter a four-character return value of your choice.
    4. Choose Feature and specify the conditions in feature P3270 on which screen control should depend. At the end of the decision tree, specify the return value that you entered in the Variable key field.
    5. Save your entries.
