In this step you determine the hourly or daily rates which are to be formed for individual employees during payroll accounting. To do this you must determine which valuation bases are to include each wage type from infotype 0008, Basic Pay, which is used in payroll.
Preconditions
Wage types not recorded in the Basic Pay infotype cannot be used to calculate valuation bases.
Standard settings
Standard calculation rule B010 forms two hourly rates in technical wage types /001 and /002. This is done by dividing period values (such as salary) for an employee by the total hours of a period (Basic remuneration divisor field in Basic Pay infotype) or is derived from user wage types for hourly paid employees.
Action
- Determine which hourly or daily rates you require.
- Copy standard calculation rule B010 and rename it Z010.
- Define all required formulas in calculation rule Z010.
- Rename calculation rule B010 Z010 in schema BT00.
- Document the new formulas.
- Specify the valuation bases in which each basic pay wage type is to be used.
Note
If you only require one or two hourly rates you can skip points 2 to 5.
