Use
In this Customizing activity, you prepare historical data for use by the new Dimona processes (valid 2010). The historical data is converted and updated using the Dimona Declaration: Prepare Reference Data (RPCDIUB0) report.
Requirements
You have Dimona declaration records that require conversion.
If you are using the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0) to prevent duplicate and overlapping records, you have activated duplicate prevention in Customizing for Activate Duplicate Prevention.
Standard settings
The Dimona Declaration: Prepare Reference Data (RPCDIUB0) report is used to complete the following:
- Convert historical Dimona Declaration (0735) infotype data
The system converts the content of various infotype fields that are required to uniquely identify an occupation period - Populate the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0)
The system migrates data from existing Dimona Declaration (0735) infotype records to a central reference table (T5BDI0), and removes duplicate or overlapping declaration records. - Note that the Dimona Declaration: Preparation (RPCDIPB0) report checks this central table for existing Dimona records, and completes some checks for duplicate and overlapping occupation periods. However, you should also complete company-specific checks to ensure that duplicate and overlapping records are not declared.
- Update historical Dimona Declaration (0735) infotype data
The system updates the Form Reference field of the infotype with a universally unique identifier (ID)
Activities
Preparing reference data involves multiple steps that depend on your unique organizational requirements and system settings. The steps must be completed in sequence, as follows:
- Convert historical Dimona declaration data (mandatory)
- Populate the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0). This step is mandatory if duplicate prevention has been activated. In other cases, this step is not required
- Update historical Dimona declaration data (mandatory)
Note that steps 1 and 3 must always be completed. Step 2 is only required if duplicate prevention has been activated.
For more information about these steps and the central table, see the documentation for the Dimona Declaration: Prepare Reference Data (RPCDIUB0) report.
