Use
In this Customizing activity, you activate the check for duplicate and overlapping Dimona records. This activity is not mandatory.
Activating duplicate prevention introduces the use of the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0). If duplicate prevention is not activated, the Dimona declarations are created without comparison to the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0).
Requirements
If you choose to activate duplicate prevention, you need to consider B2A processing progress. You can either activate duplicate prevention before B2A processing is started, or activate duplication prevention when all existing B2A processes are complete.
Note that once activated, it is not recommended that you deactivate duplicate prevention, as this can result in data display errors for Dimona Declaration (0735) infotype records.
Standard settings
The HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0) is a reference table that serves a number of purposes, as follows:
- The table summarizes existing Dimona records, that is, Dimona declarations that have been sent to the National Office for Social Security (RSZ/ ONSS), eliminating duplication or overlapping records where possible. Note that the duplicate records are not removed from the system, rather one record is retained in the table and the duplicate record is referenced.
- The table is used as a point of comparison when preparing future Dimona declarations via the Dimona Declaration: Preparation (RPCDIPB0) report; this prevents creation of further duplicate or overlapping Dimona records. When Dimona infotype records are prepared using the Dimona Declaration: Preparation (RPCDIPB0) report (that is, the infotype records are created with a prepared status), an entry is created in the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0).
- The table provides another means of viewing processing statuses. Although the statuses are physically stored in the Status Handler, they can also be viewed at infotype level or in the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0).
If duplicate prevention is activated, Dimona Declaration (0735) infotype records are updated when the Dimona Declaration: Preparation (RPCDIPB0) report is executed. If duplicate prevention is not activated, the Dimona declarations are created without comparison to the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0).
Activities
To activate the HR-BE: Dimona Central Table (T5BDI0) to prevent duplicates, proceed as follows:
- Save the constant DIPCP in the Payroll Parameters (T511K) table.
- Save the constant with a non-empty value.
