In this step, you define the available loan types in your enterprise. Loan types are subtypes of the Loans infotype (0045).

Example

The employees in your enterprise can make use of building loans, and car loans. These loan types can be loans with fixed repayments (installment loans) or loans with fixed repayments and interest payments (annuity loans).

Requirements

You have an overview of the loan types in operation in your enterprise.

Standard settings

The standard system contains building loans, car loans, and personal loans as installment and annuity loans and recurring advances.

Recommendation

  • Copy the SAP model entries.
  • If you want to add the loan types, use loan types "91xx" for installment loans and loan types "92xx" for annuity loans. In the standard system, the loan types "01xx" are intended for installment loans and "02xx" for annuity loans. In this way, you can identify the repayment type from the second character of the loan. You must use "9" as the first character of your customer-specific loan types, because the customer name range is fixed for subtypes.

Activities

  1. Overwrite the SAP model entries.
  2. If you want to add your own loan types, proceed as follows:
    • Choose the function New entries or Copy as...
    • Enter a four-character key in the Subtype field for the loan type. Enter "91" as the first two characters for installment loans, and "92" for annuity loans.
    • Enter a description for the loan type. Include in the description the purpose of the loan, and whether it is assigned as an installment loan or an annuity loan.
    • Save your entries.
