In this activity, you check the different screen control of infotype Basic Pay (0008) for government officials and contractual civil servants. For infotype Basic Pay for the public sector Austria, the system uses alternative dynpro 2303 for dynpro 2000.

Dependent on the employee subgroup (field PERSK), the system differentiates between the individual fields of this alternative dynpro. For example fields that are only relevant for contractual civil servants are hidden in the dynpro for government officials.

This differentiation is carried out using a variable key. You define the dependency between the employee subgroup and the variable key of alternative dynpro 2303 in feature P0008 (Screen Control Infotype Basic Pay (0008)).

Example

For contractual civil servants, the system determines in the background the current level for the employee at the start date of infotype Basic Pay. If the automatically determined level deviates from the level stored in the infotype record, the administrator receives a message. The administrator can now copy the automatically determined level to field Level by pressing a button. This function is only relevant for contractual civil servants.

Therefore, button Copy Automatic Level (object PUSHB03) is displayed in dynpro 2303 with variable key 03_PSA. This dynpro is used for contractual civil servants. For the dynpros with variable keys 03_PSB and 03_PSB1, which are used for government officials, this button is hidden.

Standard settings

The standard system contains the following variable keys of alternative dynpro 2303:

  • 03_PSA (dynpro for contractual civil servants)
  • 03_PSB (dynpro for government officials, fields for comparison pay scale displayed)
  • 03_PSB1 (Dynpro for government officials, fields for comparison pay scale hidden)

Recommendation

Activities

  1. Select activity Check Screen Modification for Module Pool MP000800 .
  2. Enter module pool MP000800 as the Work Area.
  3. Double click to access the detailed view for the variable keys stated above (alternative dynpro 2303).
  4. Check the defined infotype screen control.
  5. Choose activity Define Screen Control in Feature P0008.
  6. In country grouping 03 (Austria) assign the relevant variable key to your employee subgroups (PERSK):
    • For contractual civil servants, you define variable key 03_PSA.
    • For government officials, you define variable key 03_PSB or 03_PSB1.
  7. Choose Save and then Activate.
