Use
In a Concurrent Employment environment, where Multiple Period Start Days are active, personnel assignments that must be processed in the same payroll run do not need to belong to the same payroll area. These assignments can instead belong to different payroll areas and payroll modifiers (defined in field PERMO), provided that the following conditions are fulfilled.
Requirements
If all of the following conditions are met, then personnel assignments can be assigned to different payroll areas and payroll modifiers.
All payroll areas must have the same pay date.
The payroll modifier (PERMO) can have different period start days, but the payroll frequency (for example, bi-weekly) must be identical for all assignments.
The separation of payroll results for a certain payroll period on the start date of an action or action reason, in accordance with table T530, is not supported.
Organizational changes into another payroll area or a new XXNT grouping are only supported if a new assignment is performed, or if the organization change conforms with an existing assignment in the new payroll area.
Standard settings
To run payroll in a Concurrent Employment environment with Multiple Period Start Days active, you must activate the functionality itself in this step, then configure the remaining steps in this chapter to customize the functionality accordingly.
Activities
Execute the present step. In the subsequent dialog box, select the first activity, entitled:
Activate Multiple Period Start Days
On the following screen, choose Position; enter group name CCURE, then choose Continue.
Within this group, for semantic abbreviation MPSDS, specify value abbreviation X (that is, "yes").
Note Once this functionality has been activated, it should never again be made inactive.
Save your entry, then return to the original dialog box.
Select the second activity, entitled:
Maintain table T7CCE_GPASG for grouping reason 'XXPY'
On the following screen, execute the corresponding report to ensure that you have assigned grouping rule 'XXMP' for grouping reason 'XXPY', in keeping with standard functionality for multiple period start days.
Upon performing these activities, you will have activated multiple period start days functionality in your system. You may now proceed with the subsequent steps to ensure that your system is accordingly customized.
