Use

In this Customizing activity, you can specify whether the system hides the entity types for a selected data model at the following places:

  • In change requests
  • When uploading and downloading

When entity types are hidden, the system also hides the related fields in the following areas:

  • On selection screens
  • During mass change
  • In a search results list
  • In data cleansing

The settings of the fields affect the following applications:

  • Collective and Hierarchy Processing of an Entity (Web Dynpro application USMD_ENTITY)

    If you select the No Selection checkbox, you cannot delimit the search for entities of the entity type by the fields that are selected.

  • Mass Change (Web Dynpro application USMD_MASS_CHANGE)
    • If you select the No Selection checkbox, you cannot delimit the search for entities by the fields that are selected.
    • If you select the No Mass Change checkbox, then the selected fields cannot be changed using a mass change.
  • Search for Entities (Web Dynpro application USMD_ENTITY_SEARCH)
    • If you select the No Selection checkbox, you cannot delimit the search for entities by the fields that are selected.
    • If you select the No Results List checkbox, then the fields do not appear in the results list for the search.
  • Data Cleansing

    If you select the No Data Cleansing checkbox for an attribute, the system does not perform data cleansing and the field is not displayed on the Merge UI.

Activities

Hide Entity Types

  1. Select a data model and choose the subdialog Hide Entity Types.
  2. Select an entity type.
  3. Select the checkboxes for hiding the fields in change requests or when uploading and downloading.

Hide Field Names

  1. Select a data model and choose the subdialog Hide Field Names.
  2. Choose an entity type and a field name.
  3. Select the checkboxes for hiding the fields.
