Use
You can use this BAdI to implement cross-entity derivations. You can change the data if you do not modify the key of the associated leading entity with storage and use type 1.
For entity types with storage and use type 4, you can create new data records or delete existing data records.

Example
Your data model has two entity types E1 and E2 with storage and use type 4. Both entities have the same entity E0 as parent entity. You can derive data for E2 from the data of E1, and vice versa.
