Requirements
You only need to make these settings if you use the functions for listed options (product category 750) and futures (product category 700).
In this step you can define account determination for the margin management flow types you have defined under Define flow types for the product types in the product categories 'futures' and 'listed options'. The flow types in question have the flow categories PMVM, PMPT and PMPD.
Standard settings
You can set up account determination on the basis of the model Customizing settings delivered with the system.
Recommendation
The variation margin flows should be posted to a bank clearing account against the position account (inflows) or in the opposite direction (outflows). The security price gains (price of option/future) and exchange rate gains should be posted to the position account against a price/rate gain/loss account, with rate/prices losses also posted in the opposite direction.
Note
If you are also using the Treasury Securities component, this view will contain settings for all the securities flow types. Do not delete or change these settings, but only define the account determination for the additional flow types for margin management.
