In this step you define the limit product groups.

By specifying the procedure for determining the limit types, you define this limit product group for evaluation.

In a second step, you assign certain transaction types or product types to the limit product groups.

Once you have made these settings, you can use the limit product groups as values assigned to the limit characteristic 'limit product group' when you maintain the limits for a limit type. This applies for all the limit types to which the characteristic 'limit product group' has been assigned.

Activities

  1. Define limit product groups

  1. In the 'LPG' field, enter a three-character alpha-numeric key.
  2. Enter a name for the limit product group.

  1. Assign transaction types or product types to the limit product group.

    You assign the transaction types and product types in the IMG sections for the corresponding areas under:
    • Define transaction types (Money Market/Foreign Exchange/Derivatives) and
    • Define product types (Securities/Loans).

      In the Limit management area, enter the limit product group to which you wish to assign the transaction type or product type.
