Use

In this IMG activity, you can make settings for characteristic derivation for treasury offset. Directly before the system writes the target segments to the database, derivation gives you the option of determining characteristic values automatically from the values of other characteristics.

Note that the system cannot carry out any standard derivation steps as part of the derivation process for treasury offset.

Activities

If you have not yet set an operating concern in the preceding activities, select an operating concern. Now select a distribution in the dialog box. Choose Create Step. You can choose from the following derivation types:

  • Derivation rule
  • Table lookup
  • Move
  • Clear
  • Enhancement: See the information in the corresponding documentation.

For general information on derivation steps and types, display the documentation in the Implementation Guide (IMG) by choosing Profitability Analysis -> Master Data -> Define Characteristic Derivation.
