Use
In this Customizing activity, you can modify the necessary customizing settings that define the Internal Self-Services for Financials user interfaces. You may need to use this Customizing actvity if you:
- Change the delivered UI configurations to suit your specific implementations needs, for example by changing the predefined UI for internal order self-services delivered with the business function.
- Use UIs other than those delivered with the business function, for example if you are using a data model other than IS

Activities
The Customizing activities linked below are part of Customizing for Master Data Governance. You need to consider the following activities:
- Edit UI Configuration
In this Customizing activity, you manage UI configurations, which the system uses for the Web user interfaces.
If you want to change one of the predefined UIs, you proceed as follows:
- First, you select the relevant data model, for example IS, and the relevant UI configuration, for example Single Processing of an Entity (MDG_IS_SELFSERVICE.) Then, choose Edit.
- The application name USMD_ENTITY_VALUE2 and configuration ID MDG_IS_SELFSERVICE are displayed. You choose Change.
- Next, you need to select the application component, for example USMD_ENTITY_VALUE2 and choose Go to Component Configuration.
- On the next screen you can select the individual entity type (for example cost center). To edit the UI configuration, you choose the Configure UIBB button. To preview the UI, choose the Show UIBB Preview button. You can also display a list of the delivered entity types by pressing F4 in the Entity Type field.
- The system displays the entity type attributes under the General Information section.
- Note: A number of data element long texts are also included in the standard delivery of ISS for Financials. These texts are linked to the relevant fields to assist self-service users during processing. To display the long text document for a field, right-click the field and choose More Field Help. The long text for the underlying data element is displayed, if one is available.
- Define UI Classes
When change requests for the internal self-services are called, the entity's parameters are replicated to the change request processing UI. In the standard implementation, the Badi Adjust User Interface for Single Processing is used to replicate the parameters to the change request processing UI. In most cases, you should not change this customizing setting.
However, in certain cases you may need to adjust this setting. If you have implemented your own UIs, you may want to use this Customizing activity to replace the standard setting with your own UI handler classes.
- Customizing for Printing Forms
You can use the Customizing activities listed below to create the forms used for printing single entity processing forms. SAP does not deliver any forms with data model IS. However, it is still possible to define the print form for your own implementation. For more informaiton see:
