Use
In this IMG activity, you enhance the additional functions delivered by SAP with user-defined additional functions. The additional functions are displayed as pushbuttons in the application toolbar and/or as menu entries of the environment in the business partner overview (BP overview) for calling editing functions.
The BP overview supports a total of 20 additional functions, the first six are available as pushbuttons. SAP delivers 18 predefined additional functions which you can enhance with user-defined functions. The name of the additional function defined here is displayed as a pushbutton text in the application toolbar or as a menu entry.
The additional functions delivered by SAP are called using a function module which contains the following calls:
- Authorization verification of the user for the given transaction
- The interface definition for the exchange of the current master data information (business partner, contract account, contract object).
Enhanced Configuration of Additional Function Create Customer Contact
You can preassign the fields for customer contacts for creating customer contacts from the BP overview (Additional Function Create Contacts). You have to define a field preassignment for this in Customizing for customer contact under Define Configuration. Then you assign your configuration to the program SAPLFMCA_COV_CALL_X with the subcontext MANUAL under Define Configuration Determination. This program context comes from the function module FMCA_COV_CREATE_CONTACT which is delivered with this additional function.
You define these settings in Customizing for contract accounts receivable and payable under Basic Functions -> Customer Contacts.
Requirements
Customer name space:
Use a numeric code between 800 - 999 as a key for an user-defined additional function.

Activities
If you want to use customer-defined, proceed as follows:
- Create a user-defined function module which contains the transaction call of the additional function.
Note:
The user-defined function module must contain the interface definition of the function module FMCA_COV_ACC_BAL (additional function 3 - account balance). It is also recommended that your function module supports authorization validation for the call transaction. - Choose New Entries in this activity, define the key customer namespace (800 - 999)and the description of the additional function and enter the corresponding function module.
- Save your entries.
- Switch to IMG activity Configure Business Partner Overview and define the positioning of your user-defined additional functions under List of Additional Functions.
