In this step you can define the standard screen configuration for the contract object for each client.

With the screen configurator you can:

  • Change the order of the Basic data, Payment data, Correspondence and Inbound correspondence tab pages.
  • Change the entry field request on each tab page for each group frame

Screen configurations that differ from the standard are flagged with a green tick. Changes can be undone using the Restore standard button.

A selection of contract object screens appears which you can use to configure your screen. Double click on one of them to to start editing the screen configurator in a new window.

Functions in screen configuration

  • Select processing mode
There is a screen layout and a screen sequence mode. When you activate the screen configurator, the screen layout mode appears first in which you carry out the screen layout. Select Goto -> Screen sequence or Screen layout to switch from one mode to another.
  • Select view type in screen layout mode
In screen layout mode, select individual screens of the screen sequence from the lower half of the screen. In the settings menu you can choose between Layout view, Normal view and Outline view.
    • The most important entry and output fields appear in the normal view. They are grouped together in views (indicated by black frames), which in turn are grouped together in sections (indicated by white frames). While the view frames remain invisible outside the screen configuration, the section frame and its title appear in the application.
    • The view frames are not visible in layout view.
    • In outline view, only view frames (and the name of the view) and section frames are displayed, not the entry and output fields.
  • Using Help During Drag & Drop
If you want to change the screen layout you can use a drag & drop function which allows you to move sections and views within a single screens or between different screens. The view (or section) that you are dragging has a dark background.
The configuration of sections and views is restricted by preset technical constraints. The insertion point of the view (or section) is marked by a red line. To gain an overview of the permitted areas, you can place the cursor on the help button in the menu bar when dragging a view or section. A description of the areas where you can insert it appears.
  • Change group frame names
You can change the names of group frames by selecting the current name. An additional window appears in which you can enter the new name.

  1. Use cut & paste function
Using Cut, Copy and Edit you can change the sequence of the group frame. Make sure that each group frame appears only once on the screen. You can also display a list of views not used in the configuration of views that can be inserted by choosing SAP Views not used. You can also insert them into a screen by dragging & dropping them from the list.

  • Edit Screen Sequence Mode
In screen sequence mode, the sequence of individual screens is represented in editing. You can change the position of the screens using drag & drop.
Choose Edit -> Insert. An insertion window appears. Drag & drop the screen symbol to insert an extra screen into the screen sequence.
    • You can delete screens that are no longer required by choosing Delete. If any of the remaining views on the deleted screen completely disappear from screen configuration when you have deleted them, they are added to the list of unused SAP views and you can reinsert them in screen configuration from this list.
  • Change screen names
  • You can change the names of screens by selecting the current name. An additional window appears in which you can enter the new name.
