Use
Planning objects and time slots form the basis for appointment management in IS-H*MED. You use this activity to determine the organizational units, rooms, and persons as well as the time-related possibilities for appointment management.
Requirements
You can only set up planning objects and time slots when the following tasks have been performed:
- Store organizational units (OUs), the rooms or persons of which you wish to plan appointments for.
- Store rooms or persons for which you wish to plan appointments.
- Define scheduling types for visit planning or scheduling types for inpatient admission planning.
Standard settings
Activities
In the initial screen of the activity, you enter the organizational unit for which rooms or persons you wish to store planning objects and time slots. For the planning object, you perform the following steps:
- Determine the time slots in the form of a day, week, and year program.
- Determine the planning authority in the form of a time window which should be available to each planning organizational unit.
- Activate the planning object
Example
In an outpatient clinic, visit appointments should be planned in 3 rooms on 5 days per week. The outpatient clinic itself and a service facility should be able to plan the time slots. You define:
- A planning object for each room
- Time slots consisting of a year, week, and day program for each planning object
- Within the day program you define planning authority for the outpatient clinic itself and the service facility
