Use

In this IMG activity you determine all permitted units which can be used in Medication. This table is therefore a central Medication table.

For each unit you must also determine whether it is a unit of weight or a unit of height. All input helps and list boxes will then only display the units permitted for the corresponding purpose e.g. all weight units.

The following indicators are available:

  • Duration: This unit can be used as a unit for a duration of time.
  • Cycle Duration: This is a special unit which specifies the duration of the order in treatments (doses). Example: The duration of the order is 10 treatments (doses).
  • Weight: This is a unit of weight (e.g. patient weight)
  • Height: This is a unit of height (e.g. patient height)
  • Volume: This is a unit of volume
  • Time: This is a unit of time
  • Container: This is a container unit
  • Strength: This is a dose unit (unit of strength)
  • % Strength: This is a percentage unit for the dose (strength).
  • Dose: This is a unit of quantity
  • Temperature: This is a unit of temperature.

Requirements

The system administration must have entered all units as measurements in the table T006.

  • Container unit: Tube, bottle, box, container
  • Cycle duration unit: Dose
