Use
The patient's appointment calendar is a collection of all of the patient's appointments.
The appointment calendar is presented in the patient organizer. The aspects of the patient organizer determine the amount, sort order, and information content of the appointments in the appointment calendar.
You use this activity to determine the aspects which should be available to the user in the patient organizer for the presentation of the appointment calendar. The aspects can be assigned to individual users or roles.
Requirements
If you wish to assign aspects to users or roles, these aspects must already be configured. If you wish to determine new aspects in the patient organizers, you should refer to the activities concerning configuring the patient organizer and configuring new aspects in the patient organizer.
Standard settings
As standard, the patient's appointment calendar has two aspects, which are assigned to every user:
- All appointments of the patient
- Planned appointments of the patient
Activities
You can enter a definite value for the user or the role, or define the entry as valid for all specifications of the field by entering an asterisk (*). You should note that the definite entry overrides the * entry.
You can select the definite values using the input help of the field or enter them directly..
The Mode field always contains the value 003.
Under work environment you enter the aspect with which you wish to display the patient's appointment calendar in the patient organizer. The input help offers all aspects which are configured for the presentation of the patient's appointment calendar.
Example
Users in the outpatient clinics of a hospital wish to see only appointments which the patient has in the outpatient clinics in the patient's appointment calendar. Internal appointments in the service facilities of the hospital, which, for example, are planned for additional examinations, are not relevant for the outpatient clinic and should not be displayed. Such internal appointments can be flagged using a special visit type (e.g. co-treatment).
To present this appointment calendar, you configure an aspect which displays all those appointments where the visit type is not equal to co-treatment. You assign this new aspect to those roles which the users in the outpatient clinics have.
