Use

In this work step you decide whether the Help Center will offer the following functions for integrating files from the SAP Solution Manager repository:

  • Functions for handling files saved in the project structures of Solution Manager:
    • Create links to files
    • Edit links: Change link texts, delete links
  • Functions for handling files saved in a special folder in the Solution Manager repository:
    • Create links to files
    • Create new files (together with the corresponding link in the Help Center)
    • Edit links: Change link texts, delete links
    • Download files for editing and subsequent update of the original files
    • Delete files in the Solution Manager repository

Prerequisites

An RFC connection to the SAP Solution Manager system has been created in the SAP system. This connection enables power users to access files in the repository of the Solution Manager system. An RFC connection must also be available to give application users read access. For more information, see the Help Center documentation on the SAP Help Portal.

Activities

To make the functions for using files from the SAP Solution Manager repository available in the Help Center, set the Allow Files from SAP Solution Manager indicator.

Note: In this case, the search function only searches files from the SAP Solution Manager repository if these are allowed in the Help Center.
