Use

In this Customizing activity, you maintain the strength of influenced risks, that is the influence strength.

An influenced risk is a risk influenced by another risk, as defined in the Risk Assessment work center of Risk Management. Its impact and probability data are affected or "influenced" by specified influence factors.

The influence strength therefore refers to the degree and type of influence that the primary risk (that is, the "influencing" risk) - if it occurs - has on its influenced risks.

Note: You can define influence factors quantitatively as two numbers directly in the Risk application, or qualitatively as the influence strength. The influence strength is then translated into quantitative influence factors using the settings in this Customizing activity.

Requirements

A risk must exist in active state.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Choose the New Entries pushbutton.
  2. Enter a numerical value in the Strength field. This value is only used for identification purposes.
  3. Enter the description of the influence strength in the Strength Text field.
  4. In the Probability Influence Factor column, enter a numerical factor between 0.01 and 999.99 to describe how strong the influence of the occurrred risk is on the probability of the influenced risk.
  5. In the Impact Influence Factor column, enter a numerical factor between 0.01 and 999.99 to describe how strong the influence of the occurred risk is on the impact of the influenced risk.
  6. Choose Save. The values appear in the Influence Strength table.

Example

If the impact influence factor is defined as 0.5, then the influenced impact of the risk is half of the orginal impact previously defined.
