Use

In this Customizing activity, you can manage the types of effects that can result from loss events. Effects are measured in monetary terms, and can be either a debit (the enterprise receives money as a result of the loss event) or a credit (the enterprise loses money as a result of the loss event).

Activities

To find an effect type:

  1. Choose the Position pushbutton. A dialog appears allowing you to specify the effect type identifier.
  2. In the Effect Type field, type or select the corresponding identifier, and choose the Enter pushbutton. The effect type entry appears as the first entry in the table.

To define new effect types:

  1. Choose the New Entries pushbutton. The New Entries screen appears.
  2. In the Eff. Type column, type the effect type identifier.
  3. In the Debit/Credit column, select either Credit or Debit using the drop-down list. Use Debit to indicate a favorable outcome; use Credit to indicate an unfavorable outcome. For example, you can use Debit in cases when the effect involves an insurance repayment. Similarly, you can use Credit in cases of fines or penalties.
  4. In the Ins. Paym. column, select the check box to specify that the effect requires insurance or similar payments.
  5. In the Not Gr. Amt column, specify whether the amount of the effect should be considered when calculating the Gross Loss Amount.
  6. In the Effect Type column, type the name of the effect type.
  7. Choose the Save pushbutton.

To delete effect types:

  1. Select one or more effect type entries in the table.
  2. Choose the Delete pushbutton. The selected effect type entries are deleted.
  3. Choose the Save pushbutton.
