Use

In this Customizing activity, you schedule the program GRRM_NOTIF_ON_RESPONSE_DUEDATE as a background job.

The program checks all responses as to whether the due date was reached and whether the completeness value is lower than 100%. If such a response is found, then a work item is triggered so that users can maintain the response completeness.

If, for a particular response, the following condition is fulfilled, then the notification is triggered.

The condition is: Response due date minus Due date offset <= (earlier or equal to) Today.

Activities

The following steps describe how to schedule a background job.

  1. Specify a job name and choose Start Condition.
  2. Choose the date/time and specify a start date. Select the Periodic Job indicator.
  3. Choose Period Values, select a value, and check and save the entries. Then close the dialog for Start Condition.
  4. Choose the Steps pushbutton.
  5. For the user, enter WF-BATCH or the relevant service user for your workflow system.
  6. Choose the ABAP Program pushbutton.
  7. As the name, enter program GRRM_NOTIF_ON_RESPONSE_DUEDATE.
  8. Enter the language and save all entries.
  9. The background job has now been scheduled. You can check the results of the notification in the application log (transaction SLG1, Object = GRRM; Sub object = RESPONSE_NOTIF).
