Use

In this Customizing activity, you establish the settings required to adapt the SAP tasks and SAP workflows in accordance with your requirements. This activity sets up the tasks and workflows that you need for the implementation phase. You use this activity to activate the triggering events for tasks and workflows.

Possible agents must be specified for each task to define the organizational responsibility for processing.

Workflows can only be started in a dialog by their possible agents. If a scenario requires that the relevant workflow be started in a dialog, this workflow must be assigned to its possible agents.

A task or workflow can be started as a reaction to events created by the application functionality. For this, specific events are declared as triggering events for the task or workflow.

Requirements

You have successfully completed the Customizing activity Perform Automatic Workflow Customizing.

Activities

When you start the activity, the hierarchy appears. If GRC does not appear in the hierarchy, execute RS_APPL_REFRESH using transaction SE38/SA38, then execute the task again.

To activate the triggering events for tasks and workflows:

  1. Expand the GRC node and expand the application nodes as required:
    • GRC is for tasks and workflows applicable to Access Control, Process Control, and Risk Management.
    • GRC-RM is for Risk Management.
    • GRC-SPC is for Process Control.
    • GRC-AC is for Access Control.
  2. Select the required node and choose Assign Agents.
  3. For GRC, PC, and RM, you must set all standard tasks (IDs beginning with TS) not defaulted as Background Tasks as General Tasks.
For AC, set as General Tasks, the specific tasks listed below.
  4. To set a task as a General Task, do the following:
    1. Select a task that is blank (not set as Background Task), and then choose the Attributes pushbutton. A screen displays details of the task’s attributes.
    2. Select General Task and choose Transfer.
    3. Complete this for all tasks as required.
  5. Choose the Back arrow to return to the Task Customizing Overview screen.
  6. Select the required node and choose Activate Event Linking.
  7. Select the top node of the hierarchy and choose Expand All . Only some of the workflow templates have triggering workflow events. This is indicated by the Expand symbol in front of the name.
  8. For GRC and PC, you must set active all workflows that have the deactivated status.
For AC and RM, set as active the specific workflows listed below.
  9. To activate event linking for workflows, do the following:
    1. Select the required workflow and then choose the Detail View pushbutton. This activates the linkage. Activation of type linkages determines which of the linkages in question you want to use.
    2. Select the Error Feedback field and select Do Not Change Linkage.
    3. Save the entry and and press enter.
