Use

In this Customizing activity, you prepare the structure for the upload of newly created infotypes.

Note: The following are sample attributes.

  • IDOC Segment: ZPXXXX where XXXX is the number of your infotype, such as Z1P9101
  • Infotype: 9101
  • Master Data Table: T777D

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

To allow uplod of custom fields:

  1. Choose the Create with Template pushbutton to create a new IDOC segment.
  2. Create the IDOC segment, Z1PXXXX, where XXXX is the number of your infotype. In the example, the segment name is ZIP9101.
    The Create Segment: Select Reference screen appears.
  3. Choose the DDIC Structure pushbutton, and enter the structure name as PXXXX, where XXXX is the number of your infotype. For the example, enter P9101.
  4. Choose Save.
  5. Start transaction SM30 to maintain a table. The Change View Infotypes -Dialog/Database Assignment: Details screen appears.
  6. Locate the table entry with the new custom infotype; for the example, locate table T777D.
  7. Maintain the value in the IDOC segment field. For this example, enter Z1P9101.
  8. Choose Save.

You can now use the upload functionality in the MDUG tool to load your new infotypes.
