Use

In this Customizing activity, you set up the background job that is executed once sign-off has been completed, to perform the carryforward of open issues. This allows the open issues to be processed after the sign-off data freeze for the applicable timeframe.

Once the background job is scheduled, it is executed every time the sign-off is completed. The issues that are carried forward include the assessment, testing and remediation plans.

Activities

When you execute this activity, you access the Job Wizard.

  1. On the Create a Job screen, click Continue.
  2. On the General job information screen, input the parameters:
    • Job Name: Enter exactly as specified: GRPC_SAP_JOB_AFTER_SIGNOFF
    • Job Class: Specify a job priority: High, Middle (recommended), Low
  3. Click Continue.
  4. On the Defining a Job Step screen, select ABAP program step. Click Continue.
  5. On the Define an ABAP Program Job Step screen, input the parameter exactly as specified:
    • ABAP program name: GRPC_CLOSING_BACKGROUND
  6. Click Continue.
  7. On the Multi-step Jobs screen, click Continue.
  8. On the Job definition: Start Conditions screen, select After event. Click Continue.
  9. On the Job Starts After Event screen, input the parameters:
    • Event ID: Select from the drop-down list: SAP_GRPC_SIGN_OFF
    • Parameter: Enter exactly as specified: GRPC_SAP_JOB_AFTER_SIGNOFF
    • Periodic jobs: Select Period
  10. Click Continue.
  11. On the Set Job screen, click Complete to close the wizard.
