Use

In this Customizing activity, you can change the SAP standard behavior and maintain the values for the following:

  • Regulation-Specific Configuration: You can specify whether or not a field has regulation-specific values.
  • Allow Local Change Configuration: You can specify whether or not a field can be changed locally.
  • Field Status Configuration by Application Component
    You can set the field status for individual application components as requireone of the following: Required, Optional, Display, or Hidden.
  • Field Status Configuration by Regulation:
    You can set the field status for an individual regulation,such as SOX or FDA. By default, all regulation-specific fields have the Optional status. The available field statuses are: Required, Optional, Display, or Hidden.

Regulation-Specific Configuration

To change the standard regulation-specific configuration:

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Press F4 and select the required field. Select or deselect Regulation Specific checkbox.
  3. Choose Save.

Allow Local Change Configuration

To change the Allow Local Change configuration:

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Press F4 and select the required field. Select or deselect the Change checkbox.
  3. Choose Save.

Field Status Configuration by Application Component

To change the field status configuration by application component:

  1. Select an entity.
  2. Choose Field Status Configuration by Appl. Component.
  3. Choose New Entries.
  4. Select Entity, Field ID, Application Component, and Field Status. You can select one of the following field statuses:
    • Required
    • Optional
    • Display
    • Hidden
  5. Choose Save.
    The new configuration overwrites SAP standard behavior.

Field Status Configuration by Regulation

To change the field status configuration by application regulation:

  1. Select an entity.
  2. Choose Field Status Configuration by Regulation.
  3. Choose New Entries.
  4. Select Entity, Field ID, Regulation, and Field Status. You can select only regulation specific fields. You can select one of the following field statuses:
    • Required
    • Optional
    • Display
    • Hidden
  5. Choose Save.
    The new configuration overwrites SAP standard behavior.
