Use

In this Customizing activity, you can import Data Sources and Business Rules from a zip file you have previously exported, instead of creating them in the system one by one. You can also use this activity to import rule templates delivered by SAP.

Requirements

You have applied SAP Note 1519164 and created BRFplus application name and ID for Continuous Monitoring during system installation.

You have exported Data Sources and Business Rules by using the Customizing activity Export Data Sources and Business Rules, or you have a zip file containing rule templates delivered by SAP.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Select the zip file and choose Continue.
  2. Select the Business Rules or Data Sources you want to import to the target system. Choose Next.
  3. In the Set Default Values step, you can set the values of Valid From, Valid To, Business Rule Status and Main Connector fields for Business Rules and Data Sources.
Note: You must first validate the connector status before you import any rules. To validate a rule, first select the rule, then select a connector for the rule, and choose Validate Selected Connector Status. Only rules with successful validation status can be imported.
  4. Choose Next to proceed.
  5. Decide if you need to import Search Terms and Connectors from the source system. Choose Next.
  6. Review and confirm your import settings.
  7. Choose Import Business Rules to transfer the rules to the target system, or choose Simulate Importing to run the process without importing the actual data. You can view the importing logs by choosing Show Logs after you finish.

Note: Imported rule templates will appear under the Content Template query in the Business Rules POWL. To create a rule from a template, go to NWBC -> Rule Setup -> Continuous Monitoring -> Business Rules, choose the Content Template query, select a template and choose Generate From Template.
