Use

In this Customizing activity, you complete the first step of transporting automated control data to the other Process Control systems.

Before rule scripts and rule are transported to the downstream systems, their connector information must be stripped out, and the status of rule set to Work-in-Process.

Requirements

You must have the following activities completed:

Note: Process Control is delivered with System Types. However, if you need add more of the accepted system types, this must be done before this activity.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Select the Prepare the rule script and rule for transport activity (Transaction GRPC_AC_INIT_CONN).
  2. Select Rule/Script to initialize Connector/Rule Status and click Run.
  3. Enter filter values and click Run. The Available Script/Rule list displays on the screen.
  4. Highlight the records to be initialized and select Initialize Connector.
  5. Confirm the message.
  6. Click Yes to initialize Rule/Script. Records are removed from the list and are saved in the temporary table GRPCSCRIPT_TEMP/GRPCRULE_TEMP
  7. Check Script/Rule UI. Set the Connector to a space and set the Rule Status to WIP - Work-in-progress.

Example

  1. Select Initialize Script Primary Connector.
  2. Enter filter values. The available Script Primary Connector list displays.
  3. Highlight records to be initialized and select Initialize Connector.
  4. Click Yes to confirm Connector initialization.
  5. Highlight records to delete from the list. The connector initialized records are saved in GRPCSCRIPT_TEMP.
