Use

In this Customizing activity, you create the root of the organizational hierarchy.

Requirements

Ensure that the organization view you are using to create the root of the organizational hierarchy is already maintained in the Customizing activity Maintain Organization Views.

Standard settings

Activities

The root organization hierarchy is available in the standard view (002). To create the root for organizational hierarchies in other views, do the following:

  1. Select the organization view.
  2. Enter a description for the root organizational unit.
  3. Enter a description for the child organizational unit. This is the first dependent organizational unit.
  4. Enter the Valid From date.
  5. Execute the activity and save the data.
