Use

In this Customizing activity, the number range is established to facilitate the transfer of information between GRC Internal Audit Management (IAM) and NetWeaver Audit Management. During the transfer, the number is the key prefix of the subprocess and control.

You can set the number ranges for audit step handling. The settings are maintained using the automatic number range object GRFN_AMT.

Activities

  1. Select this Customizing activity (Transaction SNRO) for Number Range Object Maintenance. In the Object field, verify it is GRFN_AMT. This is the object for Internal Audit Management internal number range.
  2. Choose Change. The Number Range Object: Change screen appears.
  3. Choose Ranges. The Range Maintenance: Audit Management screen appears.
  4. Choose Intervals. The Maintain Intervals: Audit Management screen appears.
  5. Choose Insert Line.
  6. Enter the interval values for the subprocesses and controls.
    The number ranges are according to business need. A broad range is recommended to avoid frequent reconfiguration. Establishing a different start point (From number) assists in differentiation between subprocesses and controls:
    • Number: 01 for Subprocess
    • From number: 0000000001
    • To number: 4999999999
    • Number: 02 for Control
    • From number: 5000000000
    • To number: 9999999999
  7. Save your entry.
