Use

In this Customizing activity, you can designate a back end system as the Master User ID system and can maintain the mappings of other back end systems to the Master User ID system.

A company's system landscape may include multiple back end systems with a different user ID for each system. For example, one back end system may have Employee Number as the user ID, and another back end system may have Last Name as the user ID. You can use this Customizing activity to desinate one system as the main (or master) user ID system.

Activities

To maintain the master user ID mapping:

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. In the Target Connector column, select the required connector from the dropdown list.
  3. In the User ID column, enter the name of the system that contains user IDs.
  4. In the Master User ID column, enter the name of the system you want to designate as the master user ID system.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for as many back end systems as required.
  6. Save the entries.
