Use

In this Customizing activity, you can synchronize the data for profiles, roles and users from the ERP back-end and legacy systems and store it in the GRAC repository.

The activity allows you to select from the following synchronization options:

  • Profile Synch - This is required for the SoD Risk Analysis of Profiles.
  • Role Synch - This is required for the SoD Risk Analysis of Roles.
  • User Synch - This is required for the SoD Risk Analysis of Users.
  • Role Search Synch - This is required for enabling fuzzy-type role search for the Request Access, FIORI application.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. In the Synch Jobs area, select the relevant synch jobs.
  2. In the Connector field, enter the name of the back-end system.
  3. Choose the language.
  4. Select the mode.
    • Choose Incremental to synchronize only data changed since the last synchronization activity.
    • Choose Full to synchronize all the data.
  5. For legacy systems, select the Legacy System checkbox, and then select the connector. Legacy systems are those systems that the application cannot directly connect to. For these you must use provided file templates to transfer the data.
  6. Choose Execute.

Results

The activity updates the following data for the relevant synchronization acitivities:

  • Profile Synch
    • PD Profiles and descriptions
    • PD Profiles Actions for legacy systems
    • PD Profiles Permissions for legacy systems
    • All related data for Deleted Profiles is deleted from the repository and violation tables

  • Role Synch
    • Roles and their descriptions
    • Roles Org Levels relationship
    • Role Actions for legacy systems
    • Role Permissions for legacy systems
    • All related data for Deleted Roles is deleted from the repository and violation tables
  • User Synch
    • Users and their descriptions
    • Users and Profiles relationship
    • Users and PD Profiles relationship
    • Users and Roles relationship
    • Users Org Levels relationship
    • Users Actions and Permissions for legacy systems
    • All related data for Deleted Users is deleted from the repository and violation tables
  • Role Search Synch
    • Role information and the descriptions and attributes associated with Roles such as:
      • - Business processes and their descriptions
      - Actions and their descriptions
      - Functional area and their descriptions
      - Companies and their descriptions
      - Systems and their descriptions
