Use

In this IMG activity, you control whether the determination of positions in the logical databases and Business Warehouse extractors of position management should be called or executed in parallel.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Choose New Entries and a user. If you do not specify a user, the position determination setting applies to all users. In the system, an entry made in the user field always takes priority over an empty field.
  2. Choose a mode. This determines the area to which the settings apply.
  3. Set the MT Active indicator to activate parallel processing (multitasking).
    4. Note:
    If you do not set the MT Active indicator, the selected positions are processed serially by package, based on the number of packages determined for processing. In serial mode, you can also determine the maximum memory usage.
  4. Under Package Size specify the number of positions to be called for each package.

  1. Specify the maximum number of work processes to be requested at the same time for each server cluster.
    2. Note:
    The number of processes and positions permitted for each package should not be too large.

  1. Specify a relevant Logon/Server Group.
  2. Save your entries.
