Use

In this Customizing activity, you determine additional data for absence plans, as follows:

  • Determine minimum and maximum
  • Set up the Determination of Effective Date for Entry Factor Absence Plan (NLFBC) feature and corresponding table
  • Correct entry during the year

Requirements

You have defined an absence plan and an absence quota group.

Standard settings

Activities

Determine Minimum and Maximum

  1. Choose the New Entry pushbutton.
  2. Select the required benefit plan and absence quota group.
  3. Enter the start and end dates of periods.
  4. You can set the restrictions as follows:
    • Maximum number of hours or days that can be chosen. Whether this concerns hours or days depends on the customizing of the absence quota type.
    • Minimum number of hours or days that a quota must contain. Whether this concerns hours or days depends on the customizing of the absence quota type.
    • Maximum number of hours or days that a quota must contain. Whether this concerns hours or days depends on the customizing of the absence quota type.
  5. When determining the rate, you choose between the following:
    • Fixed price per unit. This is a ficed price per hour or day. Whether it concerns hours or days depends on the customizing of the absence quota type.
    • Price based on a wage type. The wage type containing the rate (and the price per hour or day) is saved in the Flexible Benefits (NL) (FBNL) subtype of the Basic Pay (0008) infotype.
    • Price calculated based on a wage type. The wage type for the calculation of a rate forms the basis for the calculation of the price per hour for purchasing or selling leave. When the price per hour is calculated, the amount in this wage type is divided by the number of hours in the Working Hours per Payroll Period (DIVGV) field. Subsequently, you can select the infotype and the subtype of the wage type for the calculation rate.
  6. Save your entries.

Set up Feature NLFBC

  1. Set up the Determining Effective Date for Absence Plan Entry Factor (NLFBC) feature.

Correct Entry During the Year

  1. Choose the New Entry pushbutton.
  2. Select the required absence plan and absence quota group.
  3. Enter the start and end date of the validity period.
  4. Determine the rounding rule you want to use.

Example

Correction of Entry During the Year

Suppose the maximum number of years to be purchased is 80 for a person who has been employed the entire year. For someone who entered the company in April, this number should be only 60. In that case you create a record that is valid from April and you enter 75% (75% x 80 = 60).

If you allow only 40 hours to be purchased in case of entry in July, you need to create a record with 50%.

Part-Time Employee (Flexible Benefits)

A working week of 40 hours has been defined in the Maximum Number (P05FBN_MAXVU) field. For Flexible Benefits purposes, employees can therefore sell hours as follows:

  • A full-time employee can sell a maximum of 40 hours
  • A part-time employee (with a part-time factor of 80%) can sell a maximum of 32 hours (40 hours x 80%)
The part-time factor is determined using the percentage defined in the employee's Employment percentage (EMPCT) field in the Planned Working Time (0007) infotype.
    • If the employment percentage is 100%, then the value is determined from the Capacity Utilization Level (BSGRD) field in the Basic Pay (0008) infotype.
    • If the employment percentage is not 100%, then the percentage specified is used for calculations.
