Use

In this Customizing activity, you determine the general data that applies to a benefits plan in Flexible Benefits NL. General data includes the following:

  • Benefit plan
  • Validity period of the plan, extending from the start date to the end date
  • Plan type
  • Plan status
  • Plan activation status, based on infotype or subtype
  • Approval required

Requirements

You have defined plan types and statuses, which can be assigned to the plan in this activity.

Standard settings

Activities

Before you begin, you determine the general data that you need to assign to the benefit plan for your organization.

  1. Enter a 4-character code for the plan and specify a plan name. The description you assign to the plan is displayed in the user interface for the employee and the administrator. The short description can contain a maximum of 10 characters .
  2. Defne the validity period for the plan.
  3. Define the plan type that is relevant to the benefit plan.
  4. Assign the plan status.
  5. If the plan is activated or deactivated based on an infotype (or subtype), define the infotype details. Define the infotype and subtype if required, and select the required activation status.
  6. If choices involving this plan require approval, this impacts how the choices are registered. Choices that require approval must approved before registration. Choices for plans that do not require approval can be directly registered without approval and processed in bulk (batch mode).
  7. Save the general data for the plan.

Complete these steps for each plan. If you have four sources and six goals, you need to complete this activity ten times.
