Use

In this IMG activity, you define the case types for SAP Dispute Management. The case type is the central property of a dispute case. It groups the various Customizing settings (for example, attribute profile and status profile). When you create a case, you first have to specify a case type.

If you use Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA), the case type is determined implicitly from the internal dispute type that you specify when you create a case.

Requirements

You have already created the attribute profile, status profile, the records models required, the element type for case records, and have defined a number range interval for cases.

Standard settings

SAP delivers the following case types as sample Customizing:

  • F_DM, if you use Accounts Receivable Accounting (FI-AR)
  • FICA and FCA2, if you use Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA)

Activities

To define a case type, you have to enter the following parameters:

  • Case Type
  • Technical name of the case type
  • Name of Case Type
  • Name of case type
  • Process
  • Use the input help to select the value Dispute Management.
  • Case Records Model ID
  • This is the case records model ID of the underlying model of the case record. Use the input help for this field to determine the case records model ID.
Note: You also have to enter the case records model as the value for the connection parameter MODEL_ID in the registry in the element type used for this case type for the case records.
  • RMS ID
  • ID of the Records Management System (RMS). Enter the RMS in which you want to use the case type. The case type is then only visible in this RMS.
  • Element Type ID (Case)
  • Technical name of the element type that you have created for cases in the IMG activity Create Element Types.
  • Element Type ID (Record)
  • Technical name of the element type that you have created for case records in the IMG activity Create Element Type for Case Record.
Note: In the IMG activity Create Element Type for Case Record, for the element type entered here in the connection parameter MODEL-ID, you have to enter the records model that you have entered in the column Case Records Model ID in the case type.
  • Element Type ID (Notes)
  • Technical name of the element type that you have created for case notes in the IMG activity Create Element Types.
  • Internal Number Range
  • Number of a number range that you have created in the IMG activity Create Number Range Interval. The system assigns a number within this number range to the dispute case. This is displayed as a value of the attribute External Key in the dispute case.
  • Early Number Assignment
  • Indicator that determines when the number is assigned.
Do not set this indicator; this ensures that number assignment takes place when you create a case.
  • Attribute Profile
  • Technical name of an attribute profile that you have already created. Enter the value FIN_DISP if you have not created your own attribute profile in the IMG activity Create Attribute Profile.
  • Function Profile
  • Technical name of a function profile that you have already created.
Enter the value FIN_DISP if you have not created your own function profile in the IMG activity Create Function Profile.
  • Status Profile
  • Technical name of the status profile that you have created in the IMG activity Create Status Profile.
  • Text Profile Notes
  • Technical name of a text profile that you have already created.
Enter the value FIN_DISP if you have not created your own text profile in the IMG activity Create Text Profile.
  • Process Route
  • Indicator that determines whether the process route is used to send the case.
Do not set this indicator; the Process Integration of SAP Dispute Management does not support the integration of the process route.
  • Terminology Profile
  • Leave this field empty.
  • Action Profile
  • Do not make an entry in this field in this IMG activity. If you want to use correspondence in SAP Dispute Management, when you carry out the Customizing required in the section Correspondence, you also carry out the IMG activity Enter Action Profile in Case Type. You enter an action profile in this field there.

Notes:

  • The case type is a field (CASETYPE) in the authorization object for Case Management (S_SCMG_CAS). The case types that you define in this IMG activity can be entered in the authorization object for the field CASETYPE.
  • There are two set/get parameters for this case:
    • SCMG_CTYPE: Default case type proposed when you create a case. It must be valid in the current area and the current RMS. Assign the technical name of a case type as a value.
    • SCMG_DSUB: Default case component that is displayed when a case is called for the first time. Assign a number (corresponding to the order of case components) or the FCODE of the case component as a value. If this parameter is not set, the notes are displayed.
