Use
In this Customizing activity, you can override the global settings delivered by SAP with your own preferred values.
Requirements
You have checked the global settings delivered by SAP in the previous Customizing activity Check Global Settings.
Standard settings
The following settings are relevant to Project Management:

Filter for Milestone Tasks
In the Structure view of a project or the multi-project monitor, you can filter milestone tasks by setting the corresponding indicator in the filter. If you activate this switch, all other project element types are deselected automatically so that only tasks are filtered.
If you do not activate this switch, all project element types are filtered unless you deselect them manually.

Activate Fixed Values for Milestones
If you activate this setting, fixed values are assigned automatically to the following attributes when you create a milestone task in an operational project or a project template: The duration is set to 1, the finish constraints and date are cleared, and the planned work is set to 0. This enables you to treat milestones as a single point in time.
In the Customizing activity Set Up Field Control, you can ensure that the fixed values are not changed in the project or project template. Adjust your field control for these fields using the additional condition C050 (Task is Milestone).
If you want to use your own fixed values instead of the standard values, implement the method SET_DATA_EXT in the Customizing activity BAdI: Check/Change Fields in Project Management.

Create entries for the default settings you want to override and enter your own preferred value in the Settings Value column.
