Use
In this Customizing activity you make all the settings you require to create or change an object link to an SAP ERP object, for example, data origin, display layout, or calling an object in the SAP system.
Requirements
- You installed the SAP R/3 Plug-In 2002.2. For more information, see the Installation Guide.
- In the view Object Types for Object Links you created or activated the object types you want to connect using object links. You find the activity as the first node in the existing Customizing activity or in the Customizing activity Define Object Types for Object Links. We recommend that you create object types in the existing Customizing activity as copies of existing entries so that you copy all dependent settings as well. Otherwise, you must make the settings manually in the IMG activity.
Standard settings
- The settings have been made in the standard system for all SAP ERP object categories for which program interfaces are already implemented in Project Management.
Activities
The following activities describe which settings you must make if you created new object types for object links. See the Configuration Guide, section Setting Up Project Links, for information about the settings you must make to use the object types that already exist.
Restricting Project Element Types
Enter the project element types for which the system should not propose the object link type when an object link is created.
Name of Class in the SAP System per Object Type
Enter a name for an object type of the class in the SAP system that should correspond to the class in Project Management.
You can depict various object types in Project Management in the same class in the SAP system.
Standard Consistency Checks per Object Type
For each object type you entered standard consistency checks have been entered as the default. Deactivate the checks the system should not carry out.
If you want to develop additional consistency checks for an object type use the BAdI OLR3_CONSISTENCY in the Plug-In system.
Note:
The consistency checks for the object types 0QMNOTIFICATIOC and 0QMNOTIFICATION have different names to the statuses of the QM notifications. The following overview shows which consistency check checks which status:
Consistency Check Status
CLOSED MMAB (Notification Closed)
DELETED LÖVM (Deletion Flag)
LOCKED MRST (Notification Deferred)
RELEASED MOFN (Notification Open)
Fields per Object Type
Enter the fields for each object type you want to use in the evaluations, or in the detail screen of the object or in both.
If you want to use a different field for the view in the detail screen as the one you use in the evaluation, specify an additional field in the column field name (evaluation).
In the standard, all fields are read from the table for the evaluation, whereas you can decide (see below) which ones you want to be read for the detail view of the linked object in the step Frames per Object Type. However, the data is read only generically from the SAP System if you enter it in the view Table/View in SAP System per Object Type and Method (see below). You must implement the BAdI OLR3_DATA in the Plug-In system for all other tables.
Frames per Object Type
Define frames for the object type and define a frame type and a sequence for each. You can define a maximum of nine frames for each object type.
Fields per Frame
Define which fields you want to display in the detail view of this frame for a given object type. In addition, define the sequence in which they should appear. You can define a maximum of 100 fields for each frame.
Table/View in the SAP System per Object Type and Method
For each method define a table or a view in the SAP System from which the object data should be read or in which the object should be checked, and assign it a strategy.
The standard object link types 0RPMPLMCOREMAT and 0RPMPLMCORERECIPE do not require these settings.
Service for an Object Type
Assign the corresponding service to the linked object type you want to use to open an SAP transaction. You must have already created this service in the activity Make Settings for Calling an SAP Transaction.
