Use
In this Customizing activity, you define services and Web server aliases and their corresponding parameters for calling an SAP transaction. You can assign these services to an object link type in the Customizing activity Define Object Link Types.

Service for an SAP Transaction
Create a service for an SAP transaction, for example, "Display Network", and assign service parameters.
A service determines which transaction is called in the SAP system to display or edit a linked object.
Alias for the Web Server of an SAP Transaction
Create a Web server alias and assign alias parameters.
You can enter the alias you create here in Customizing by choosing Define Object Link Types -> Object Link Type Definition and also under Service for an Object Type. This has the following advantages:
- You can transfer the Web server URL via the alias, and transfer the parameter(s) for the Web server if required.
- If the URL changes, you do not need to make the change in all object types, but only once in the alias.
