Use

In this Customizing activity, you specify how the total demand of roles is to be distributed.

An SAP Basic Setting is supplied with the system and you cannot change this setting. If you want to define different values, create a customer setting. All values that you enter in the customer setting are used instead of the values in the basic setting. However, if you leave a field blank, the system uses the value for that field from the basic setting.

Factory Calendar

If distributed values exist for a role or staffing, they must be converted if the period type is changed (for example, from week to month). When the system converts these values, it takes into account the working days in the distribution time frame. The factory calendar specifies which days are working days.

The value for the factory calendar is determined in the following order:

  • Role
    1. From the location of the role
    2. From the value entered here

  • Staffing
    1. From the location of the business partner, provided that the business partner is not a placeholder or an external business partner.
    2. From the location of the role
    3. From the value entered here

Requirements

These settings apply to all roles for which distribution has been activated (see Define Role Types).
