Use
In this Customizing activity, you integrate the HR application components from the ERP system with the business partners in Project Management. This means that the business partner master records with the BP role 'employee' are distributed in Project Management for your employees from the existing HR master data. This takes place from the ERP system via ALE.
Example
Requirements
Standard settings
Business partners are not integrated with the HR application components from the ERP system in the standard system. Therefore, HR master data is not distributed in Project Management. You create business partner master records with the BP role 'employee' in the standard system for your employees.
Recommendation
When you have implemented the HR application components in the ERP system, we recommend that you integrate the business partners with the HR application components. In this case, you cannot create any business partner master records with the BP role 'employee' in Project Management.
Activities
To integrate the business partners with the HR application components:
- Perform the activity.
The HR: Set Up Central Person screen appears.
- Set the value X for the semantic abbreviation HRAC under the group name HRALX.
This field is empty in the Project Management standard system.
- Choose Active Plan Version as the value for the semantic abbreviation PLOGI under the group name PLOGI.
- Save the data.
- Adjust the ALE distribution model of your HR system.
Further notes
To use Project Management with employee master data from the HR application components, proceed as follows:
- In the HR application components:
- As of release 4.6C
- Use the message type HRMD_ABA.
- Use this message type in the same way as the HRMD_A message type (see documentation for the RHALEINI report).
- For releases before 4.6C
- Use the message type HRMD_A.
- In this case, you have to set up your own port for the BBP/CRM connection in the HR system. You have to enter version 2 (IDoc record types, version 3.0/3.1) for this port.
- Use the filter in the distribution system to ensure that only the following infotypes and no other employee data is distributed in Project Management: 0000, 0001, 0002, 0006, 0009, 0105.
