Use

In this Customizing activity you define the threshold values for your project. Threshold values are used in evaluations to identify critical situations in the project. Projects in which threshold values are exceeded are flagged as critical. Exceeded threshold values are displayed in the project only if they were evaluated in background processing.

Requirements

You defined evaluations and severities (see Define Evaluations and Define Severity).

Standard settings

  1. Create a new threshold value.
  2. Assign a severity to the threshold value.
  3. Define the formula the system should use to calculate whether a threshold value has been exceeded.

    In the formula you find the attributes from the evaluation on which the threshold value is based. The result of the formula must be a boolean value:

    • True: The condition for the threshold value violation is fulfilled.
    • False: The condition for the threshold value violation is not fulfilled.
  4. Under Eval. Layout enter the evaluation to which the threshold value refers.
  5. If required, enter an attribute and an object category.
    • If you enter an attribute, the system evaluates all threshold values of one view with the same attribute together. It starts with the threshold value with the highest severity. If the first check shows that a threshold value has been exceeded, the system does not carry out the remaining checks. The system displays the threshold value violation of the first check.
    • If you do not enter an object type, the system evaluates the threshold value for all object types in the evaluation; otherwise the system evaluates only the object type you specify.
