In this Customizing activity, you replicate the characteristics that are required for accounting integration.
Creating new project types or project reasons in Project Management
When the system replicates and carries out costing for a project, it checks whether the project type and project reason exist in the ERP system. If they do not exist, the system issues an error message. For this reason you use this activity to replicate new project types and project reasons you create in Project Management in the ERP system.
Deleting project types or project reasons in Project Management
If you deleted a project type or a project reason and you want to delete it in the ERP system as well, set the Delete Legacy Data in Target System checkbox. Note that inconsistencies may arise when you replicate or carry out costing for existing projects that still use the the deleted characteristic.
If you do not select the checkbox when you replicate deleted characteristics, the characteristic remains in the ERP system.
