Use
In this IMG activity, you define the structure of the SAP user IDs you create for students.
You can have the system create student user IDs from the student number provided this number complies with the SAP settings for user ID validity (see IMG section Student Numbers and Object IDs).
You can also have the system create a random user ID.
If you enter a number, the system creates a generated user ID with as many characters as the number you entered. User IDs can be from 4 to 12 characters in length. Values below 4 and above 12 are automatically set to the default value 12.
- If the value you enter is not numerical, the system creates a user ID from the student number.

Enter the required value for the group STUDENT and setting USERID:
- Value X
The system creates a user ID from the student number.
- Values from 4 to 12
The system creates a generated user ID with as many characters as the number you entered. For example if you enter 9, the user ID will be 9 characters in length.
- Values from 0 to 3
The system creates a generated user ID with 12 characters.
- Values 13 and higher
The system creates a generated user ID with 12 characters.
