Use

In this IMG activity, you assign the relevant infotypes or a BDT screen to every tab page. For information on when to use infotypes or BDT screens, see Configuration of User-Defined Tab Pages.

You must make this assignment for the following reasons:

  • The system hides tab pages which contain data the user is not authorized to display. (To determine whether the user has the required authorization, the system evaluates the authorization object PLOG).
  • The system displays the ICON_CHECKED icon (green checkmark) on the tab index if one of the assigned infotypes contains data. (To display this icon, the system uses function module HRIQ_STUDENT_NF_ICONS.)
  • For tab pages that contain an overview of the records in several infotypes, you define the infotypes you want to display and their sequence.
  • For tab pages in the BDT screen category, you define the BDT screen which should appear on the tab page.

Requirements

You have created the required tab pages and assigned them a category in the previous activity.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Choose a tab page.
  2. Double click the action that suits the tab page category:
    • Assign Infotype
      • Enter the sequence, infotype number and, if required, subtype number.
    • Assign BDT screen
      • Enter the technical name of the BDT screen.

Example

You want to display an overview of the records in infotypes 9101 and 9102 on the user-defined tab page ZEXAMPLE. You want the records of infotype 9101 to be listed first.

You select the ZEXAMPLE tab page, and make the following entries in Assign Infotypes to Tab Page:
