Use

In this IMG activity, you define parameters for performance index or subrequirement filters.

  • The parameters for performance index filters determine the criteria according to which the system filters academic work objects and thus how the system determines the calculation basis for a performance index.

Parameters can be defined in Customizing, and they can be transferred to the performance index by applications.

In the IMG activity Define Academic Performance Indices, you assign the parameters you have defined to the respective performance indices and define the associated parameter values.

  • The parameters for subrequirement filters determine the criteria according to which the system selects the academic work objects of a student. For more information, see the IMG activity Define Parameters for Filters and Conditions.
  • The parameters for subrequirement conditions determine the criteria according to which the system evaluates a condition. For more information, see the IMG activity Define Parameters for Filters and Conditions.

Activities

  1. Enter an up to 30-character alphanumeric key and a description for each parameter you create.
  2. In order for the system to choose the correct values for a specific parameter, you must enter the structure and the field name of the table that contains the relevant values.

Example

You want the system to calculate a weighted average for those academic work objects of a student that belong to a specific discipline. To map this in the system, you use a parameter for the discipline and preassign a specific value for this discipline.
