Use
In this activity, you create module booking reasons. These booking reasons are used mainly in fee calculation.
You can also use these booking reasons for information purposes.
Example for Fee Calculation
Your university offers a discount to students who book modules early, that is, by a given key date. If your university decides to cancel a module that already has a few early bookings because there are not enough students, the students booked on this module must be rebooked. The early booking discount is lost when the students are rebooked to a different module.
If you still want to offer these rebooked students the early booking discount, you can create a special booking reason for such cases (for example, rebooking with early booking discount). You must set up the discount for this booking reason in Customizing for Student Accounting.
The same applies to other administrative rebookings which should have no effect on fee calculation.
